Like most school across the state, Belle Creek Charter School will receive another significant reduction in funding for the next school year. Because of the 7.1% reduction in funds proposed by the state, some very difficult decisions had to be made. Our goal is to balance the budget while maintaining adequate resources to meet the educational needs of our students.
Belle Creek Charter School has been forced to implement a number of cost saving measures for the 2011-2012 school year that will include the following:
- Increase in class size
- Attrition of staff
- Implementation of a fee for middle school sports*
-
Implementation of a student fee**
- Increase in staff health insurance premium
*In order to continue to offer a Middle School sports program it is necessary to charge a $20 fee per student per sport (maximum of $75/family). While this will not pay for the program it will assist in cutting the cost.
**A $20 per student fee will be charged to assist in covering the charge of printing/coping and planners. This is due at the time of registration. |
