Create a tinkerCAD project to represent our school. You can create an object or make a sign with
our Name: Belle Creek Charter School
our Mascot the wildcat
our Motto: First Come Learning
or a scene of a classroom.

1. Go to slides.google.com and open your digital portfolio.
2. In another tab, open your keyboarding application and TinkerCAD project, and take a screenshot of your progress.
3. Create two new slides and paste your screenshots into the slides.
4. Give your slides a title.
5. Go back to slide #2 and add the text "Third Quarter" to one of the blank boxes. Link the text to your first new slide.

8" x 11" colored paper 1 each for background
Scrap colored paper (about 4" x 4") you can cut the papers in quarters and let kids have multiple colors

We will look at the art of Sonia Delaunay then students will cut multiple circles in various shapes and sizes to create art in the same style

When you have finished your project, use the form below to submit the file name of your final TinkerCAD project.

Choose a Baroque Composer listed below. Research the composer(Do NOT use Wikipedia!) and create a short presentation of his life, music and influence in the Baroque era. Choose a way to deliver the information. Cite your sources!

For our first zen doodle, We will create a leaf shape sectioning off different patterns to form the segments of each doodle. We will then fill in each section with a pattern.
outline the edge wit a black crayon if possible then watercolor a gradient ( light to dark) monochromatic (one color background)
upload finished work into your digital portfolio.

create a gridded sheet with 42 patterns to choose from for our zen doodle unit. zen tangle or zen doodle is a meditative art form popular for mindfullness or centering the mind. We will create a sample sheet that we can use for several mixed media applications in this art form unit.

This lesson we will create layered paper cutouts.
Please watch the full lesson before you begin as there are many examples at the end of styles.

We will layer paper with different shapes to create a 3-d look cutting out one layer at a time and assembling for detail.
Decide on a theme for your art, then do a preliminary sketch

This week we will do a 2 part project creating city and country landscapes on a rainbow field of color gradients. I would like you to create 2 paintings one verticle one horizontal that span Rainbow colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, Violet. And the second starting from violet, blue, green, yellow, orange, red, violet, yellow, green, blue, violet. Both are shown in video and you can choose the direction of each

Welcome back artists!

every year we will do a self portrait as a way of using introspection and assessing our drawing skills. As most of you you have been through the basics of self portrait last year, we will now take our art one step further and create a split image self portrait. One half will be traditional following the basic portrait rules, the other half will be a depiction of who you think you are.
I am including a video explanation of why artists have been doing self portrait since the beginning of time and why its important as an artist. I also am creating a slide show of examples of split face portraits. this project should take 2-3 class sessions. You must submit work for a grade either electronically or physically. keep all work in a folder or binder as a portfolio which will be physically submitted at the end of the grading block. A digital portfolio is also acceptable.

I look forward to pushing ourselves as artists this year.
