her said my name is Cassandra I am the registrar here at Belle Creek so I would be helping and roll your students for next year so we will go ahead and get started with our Kindergarten roundup moving on to our next screen and we'll go over our agenda for tonight so we'll begin with some video introductions introducing you to our Administration team followed by our kindergarten team and our special team where you will then take you on a virtual tour of our school since unfortunately were unable to do that in person and then we will follow up with just some general information about the school and how 6 hours work and things like that and then we will finish up with some questions and answers to the questions that you submitted prior and if we have time open up the floor to you to answer any questions we haven't already covered answer go ahead and move on to her introduction I'll try that again sorry about that I will love to keep going let me rewind that for you hello and welcome my name is Jacqueline executive Charter School I am so sorry that 1960s I am unable to meet and greet each of you and I have put together a virtual pool where you can have a tendency to see the inside of our school while reading aren't eclipse Belle Creek Charter School is a K-8 school Cinema Systems off of 17 years start my fitness first comes and we have a curriculum that supports that not only do we expel Creek to buy Point Defiance social studies science and math but we also provide physical education music art and Technology we provide a safe and healthy environment with every student has the opportunity to become an independent learner and a responsible for half the staff at Millcreek it's a very best definition well having fun and meeting new friends again I am so happy that you have chosen to be the school that will help your child and he said that it was okay if you have any personal questions at a later time you're free to reach out to me and I will address those questions to the gas at my apartment have a great evening and enjoy the tour and we wonderful staff thank you thank all of you for taking time to attend our virtual Kindergarten Roundup my name is mr. Hurst and I am the lower elementary I want to start off by emphasizing that we consider this a privilege to partner with you as the parent help you are student grow and develop is a scholar I can be a teacher for a long time in this position for several years and I'm very proud of what we've done here I'm convinced that we've seen the most amazing teachers and I'm sure you will soon be convinced as well the highest compliment I can pay any school is it I have two students here call Creek and both went through our kindergarten program I know that my wife and I are incredibly pleased with the education that they received and thankful for all the hard work that the entire team what's in the making sure that every student receives the best possible education for them please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to working with you next year welcome to Belle Creek Charter School on dr. What potential be working with your students next year hi my name is Miss Shelton and I'm one of the kindergarten teachers here at Belle Creek and just want you to know that while we're sad we can't be doing this in person or so excited to get the opportunity to just talk about what a wonderful school days says and how kindergarten is and how much your child would benefit from having kindergarten Here at Bell Creek I am in my first year teaching here and my tenth year teaching overall and while it's been a little bit of a different year I can't imagine working at a bet play stressed with such a strong focus on learning and unsupported children socially and emotionally and just creating that whole person and I feel very lucky to work here and would love to share the community and how wonderful it is with you do that next year I'm going to talk to you for a second about kindergarten Readiness I know that it can be confusing sometimes or you're wondering what does my child need to know to be ready for kindergarten and so we put together a couple of splice nobly help help me get a better idea of what we're looking for when children start kindergarten next year so one of the things that's important is for them to be ready to take care of themselves there are many kids and you want to make sure they're where you live part-time speech we would like for your child to be able to put on and take off his or her own coke and to wash their hands and if possible snap buttons up in Buckle what their pants at the necessary or their skirts and their jackets we just want them to be self-sufficient because that's something you really start to push for in kindergarten does independent skills socially it's very important that the children can listen to an adult and follow simple instructions if a claim is like them to be able to follow two step directions when they're coming into kindergarten and it's very important that they're able to cooperate with other children we do a lot of small groups and projects Hands On Learning in the ability to cooperate with others is necessary to do that and we just would like them to be able to sit for short periods of time and just come in with respect for adults and we like for them Hampton Beach to themselves and the lesson and practice Plumbing down their bodies on their own if they're having some stuff letting them do in terms of academics we would love for your child to be able now the letters in the alphabet with me it's like them to be able to stay at the ABCs and we would like for them to know their numbers 0 through 10 and we would like for them to be able to recognize and like their first name something this important when writing their first name is that they learn how to write the uppercase letter for the first letter in their name and then the rest lowercase you like for them to come in with these habits because sometimes it's very hard to break them so pencil grip is very important and scissor grip if they start learning it now then it's less likely they're going to have to relearn later on which is more challenging when writing their name like I just said the first letter needs capitalize and also it's very important that they start their letters at the top we have a little song where do you start your letters at the top stop stop and I will save you from me singing the rest. Port for them to begin writing their letters top again so that it's not a habit they have to break when they come in really quickly before I get back to that I also want to talk about the importance of a child being able to sit upright and listen to a story I need to be able to hold the book upright and turn the pages that's just a great thing to practice at home personally I love nothing more than reading aloud to the kids and forgetting to see them learn to be interested in boxing glove box and the curiosity is also to have them already able to hold the book of right and turn the pages is important and we would also like for them to be able to tell if their first name and their last name just these basic things that would be great if you can work on it over the summer and have them for next year Starfall learning and LeapFrog learning and these are just two additional resources that you might consider looking at when having your child for kindergarten and working on all these skills and we can't wait to work with him further and just watch them learn to love reading and learning and watch them grow next year 3 in charter school I want to thank you for watching this video today I hope that through this video I'm able to answer some of your questions you might have as far as weight looks like a little bit about myself before I start is this will be my 15th year teaching kindergarten it's actually the only grade I've ever taught I want to eat I love everything about kindergarten I love the amount of socially academically emotionally I love the partnership that exists between the families and there's so many great definition of garden and so 8:30 to 3:30 on kindergarten and passed about 10 minutes earlier than the rest of the school just going to make it a little easier for Bell Creek is a full-time five-day-a-week school so do Monday through Friday 8:30 to 3:30 p.m. would you have breakfast available before school in the mornings in the cafeteria after all the students had arrived and then we going to class and we start our literacy block which is where we do our Reading Writing speaking and listening skills will do have a full-time para and all the kindergarten classrooms with us which makes it really nice because we are able to put into small groups more do or individual instruction if we need to it's really nice to me I've always have two full-time teachers in the classroom there with us after we have our literacy block than we do we have a princess and a recessed in the 30 minutes long would you go outside every single day twice a day unless it's freezing and if it's freezing then we will have indoor recess after recess we come in and we get ready for lunch lunch is also 30 minutes long I did in our cafeteria I'm you can bring school lunch or you can I'm sorry you could bring home lunch or school lunch whichever one you prefer on school lunch is available to purchase or we also have the free and reduced lunch program after lunch we technically have science social studies activity called by math and then resets what Skins are just sent and then after recently come in and kindergarten we do have a daily snack that we provide from home and will let you know if there's any allergies and it's like that I cannot have another class of time after snacks and weed they are going to specials with the Kindle rotate through so we have for special they have PE which is gym class they have art technology is so they will go to one of these each day when you send your child to school I think you are sending them to an environment that really cares about them one thing that I love them at myself actually had to kindergarten students at twins who are in kindergarten here with us now that first graders but one thing I love about her school is that every teacher and every every adult at the school administrator the custodians capture York they know all of the kids and they care about all of the kids in the classroom but they are small class sizes when they are usually around 24 and what does free for students then we also have a full-time paraeducator in the classroom with us other teachers driving school speech language therapist taking like that. You might need for spell Creek Hazard and we have some excellent excellent resources oh hello first and family name is pure similar didn't call me mrs. lyrics and this year has been very unique I have been remote learning teacher I've been teaching that are not in the building their learning over at using their computer and that's a lie I do miss being in the classroom with students amazed at what on my remote Runners have been showing me this year at their fortitude and enthusiasm Balsam Fir squirrel has not been daunted by our pendant I'm very proud of them but what about me I do live here and they'll creep with my husband and my two daughters and my daughters have gone to Battle Creek right now they're in high school and 7th grade and just a little plug and stay lean through high school because I feel like those cakes from food prepare for high school as a parent I've been super happy with the school and of course as a teacher I left working here as well I'd like to spend some time talking about our curriculum that we use Hair Bow Creek 12 taste of it so that you can see what to expect when your student starts kindergarten is a core knowledge school knowledge curriculum Miss mrs. Blair here we had some glitches in our videos so we are switching to me talking life Erica will you give me a thumbs up if I share my screen correctly so I'm going to talk a little bit about curriculum like I thought you heard me starting to stay in the video we have our core knowledge curriculum and our language arts we call it ckla you'll hear that all throughout your child career at Bell Creek ckla is our core knowledge language arts there is two parts we have our skill which goes over are reading foundational skills and then we have our listen and learn which is are we also call it our domains where the students can listen to text being read out loud so let me just briefly talked about what you're going to learn and the ckla this is we start very foundation on foundational with funny make awareness and this is where we are training our ears to hear the sounds and words we also start we would start with letter as we start with learning that pencil grip and housing and learning how to make our Strokes that prepare us for writing letters this is an example of what you might see in a unit 1 workbook I'm going to flip around I'm going to go up to you in at 3 then we start learning our letters down and when we're learning or letters towns were putting them together into words at the same time so we learned by sounds and we start to build words with those right off the and then as we learn our whole alphabet all the letters down we're going to get more complex we add will start to learn words with four and five sounds in them so here's an example of where we are right now in the middle of the Year we're reading more complex words and as we're reading learning these words were starting to read them and readers so your students going to be reading small readers by the end of the year so exciting it's so exciting and then I want to show you a little bit about our listen and learn topics we listen to fiction and nonfiction and it's great for students to be able to comprehend text we're learning how to answer questions and really absorb that knowledge and sorry I'm flipping around let me go back to showing you some of the topics that we covered in our read aloud we with nursery rhymes and fables we learn about 5 senses stories plants ferns Native American Kings and Queens season and weather Columbus and the pilgrims I'll read them all hotels taking care of Earth presidents and American symbols so much and what's fantastic as as we are doing our listen and learn our science and social studies topics weave in it out with our listen and learn so it's just really they don't tow together very nicely and I'm talking fast because I just get so excited but there is a lot that we covered in kindergarten I want to be able to give you a Taste of everything our math curriculum we follow the Envision mathematics and so are topics cover numbers from 0 to 10 in the beginning we're going to be comparing these numbers learning to look for greater and less than we do addition and subtraction with our numbers to 10 and it will build on that will start getting into numbers to 20 students have to be able to write and identify and manipulate numbers 220 and we're going to count all the way up to 120 by the end of the year we also study shapes and measurement and I did have a couple worksheets these are kind of to give you a taste what are worksheets look like in our math unit we have a lot of Hands-On and then we can reinforce our hands on with our worksheets this is a beginning of the year worksheet where were learning and practicing how to write her number and then as you see right now we're in some addition and subtraction right now in our unit so that's what we doing dinner garden and I like to say it I would love it if you came to Bell Creek but no matter where you end up if you ever have questions about what your student is learning please talk to your teacher we are happy to explain and take the time for you so that was my horse about our curriculum thank you alright Kirsten can you see that can you see the presentation now do you think you two are amazing kindergarten team for introducing what kindergarten at Bell Creek looks like now we are going to meet our specials team as mrs. Swanson mentioned we have for specials at Belk we have art PE music and technology and so now we will introduce you to those pictures everybody I am is Colleen the art teacher at Bell Creek welcoming you to a new upcoming exciting school year and milestone in life kindergarten we do lots of fun things in art this year very challenging but we're experimenting with lots of artists studies and how to be versatile and do art in any environment I really like working with little kids cuz it's fun to see them explore and try new things kindergartener just learning to cut at the beginning of the year and then by the end of the year Masters at many things that they couldn't do when they started so it's a fun and exciting year about Creek is a great school and I'm happy to be a teacher there and I'm hoping to get to know you when your children hi I'm Anna Hayek can you teacher for Belle Creek Charter School I look forward to all of the new incoming kindergarteners next year we will be working on fundamental skills like look at me stealth games teamwork I look forward to seeing you in the fall welcome incoming kindergarteners this is Coach Jones next will be my nineteenth year at belt Creek I am the KP teacher NASA Tex Rex I really look forward to seeing you guys and girls did here we have an awesome gym I'll give you a show that right now fantastic you guys will love it lots of room lots of great equipment can't wait to see you guys look forward to having you here at belt Creek being part of our family hi my name is Isaac Driscoll I'm the music and choir teacher for Belle Creek Charter School I'm so decided to meet new kindergarteners for next year in our class we do a lot of games a lot of different songs we'll be doing a lot of movement activities a lot of body percussion will be working a lot with different types of sound and exploring our voice range and different rhythms and sounds that we can do as well as identifying different types of parts of our voice and different types of instruments that we can use future kindergartener some Karen my name is George. I am one of the music school 29th year how much people swear by trade in their hearts are now banned in most rings driving skills experience Grace Lutheran play rudimental Kentucky imitation Riu we got it by the first steps I have extensive trade technical 40 minutes from guardians a welcome response to the song Frank Dario's movement that I am the lucky song I look forward to discovering this child we have any questions hello my name is Rowdy I am the technology teacher here at Belle Creek Charter School I am looking forward to meeting all of our new kindergarteners and seeing you in the fall in our technology class here all grades do keyboarding practice it every time they come to class we consider it a life skill and absolutely necessary for all the online testing when they are done with keyboarding or kindergarteners would do things to get them better on their computers will start out with paint so that they can learn to use the trackpad better and then we'll move on applications and then if there's time at the end of the year or even just a little 3D modeling I look forward to meeting all of you see you in the fall okay so if that was an introduction to most of our specialty I'm so now we are going to move on to a virtual tour of our school that way you can see where your student will be on throughout their week of Oak Creek so here is our main office so the main office has the offices of our administrators as well as Miss Sr director of curriculum and Med Spa Car counselor at the in office we also have Miss Lisa our health office aide who help their children with General first aid as well as myself and Miss Jen our attendance clerk to help parents with anything they need down the hall from the office to the right we have our gymnasium and we have Coach Hyatt and Coach Jones who I work with all of the students from every grade what your child comes to school in is what they will be wearing 40e so on those days please make sure they have the proper Footwear and then they'll start changing out for gym once they get to Middle School npe they go through various units introducing our students to physical activities they do on jump rope parachutes beginning basketball skills and introducing them to team building and working with a team if it's really nice outside they will go out to the field that we are getting fresh air while they're being active and then catty-corner to our office we have one of our two music rooms I'm you saw Mr ristow in the specials teacher videos so he teaches General music to our Elementary classes and then choir you are second higher classes and then Mister Villa Crest is our other music teacher whose room is down the hall from here he also teaches General music to the lower elementary and then to the upper elementary and middle school did you just beyond so students will be introduced to body movement and music and introduced to music and if they progressed in their musical education they can participate in recorders bucket band and choose to participate in band choir as an elective down the hall we have our art room you met mrs. Beady in the introduction I'm so we will introduce our students to different aspects of are we in the past done portraits and mobiles as the sum of the project there is a little bit of art history that they will also learn while they're working on those projects as mrs. Swanson mentioned in her video the students will rotate through their show throughout the week so 3 of the specials they will have one time a week and they will have one special twice a week and then those will change quarter-to-quarter so they may have to eat twice a week first semester or first quarter and then once a week for 3rd Court so here we have our first and second grade Wing as well as our technology room you met mrs. Rowdy and her video as she explained will begin introducing a kindergarten students I'm sure some of them are already quite proficient on but will be giving them the keyboarding and mousing skills to build on as they'll be using that in there for their educational career as we move on former Technologies come down the hall we have our library and mrs. Ashley is our librarian and the students usually will go to the library once a week so they will spend the first part of Library time with I'm story time this is Ashley and she'll just read a story to them and they'll spend about half an hour doing that and then we'll have the remaining Library time to check out a book with kindergarten they are able to check out one book A Week and then we thought and Returns the next week to check out some more books I'm in the higher grades we use a program called Accelerated Reader and they'll be introduced to that later on after a few years and then towards the end of our main hallway we have our cafeteria Miss Janice our cafeteria manager and as mrs. Swanson mentioned that students are able to eat their bring home lunch or they can purchase school lunch and we will get into some details about how you can put money on their account later on we do also offer breakfast and if you could see way the corner there there's a little door and that is where students would come in for breakfast in the morning and again will provide more details about that about Works later on and then I'll leave him to make our way back up the main hallway towards the office on the left hand side you will see some offices that is where our specialist offices are so if you're that is in need of special education services such as physical therapy occupational therapy speech therapy we do have a specialist on site and if needed for your students all of our kindergarten class are located at by the main office so as I'm sure you realize we have three kindergarten classroom so the first classroom we will be looking at is mrs. Shelton Shelton room so you can see what we have generally are kindergarten classes are set up with tables and their little bit easier for the little kids and then as was mentioned all of our kindergarten classes have two adults in their full-time semester Shelton this year is Miss Anna and then directly across the hall from her room is mrs. Leo's room and they're all set up a little bit differently but I'm over with the tables and so they'll do they have their tables and then we also do group work throughout the day with our kindergarten classes and students are able to bring a clear water bottle to class don't know if I can find out when we go to miss Swanson's room each kindergarten class also has a restroom directly in the classroom I'm if possible we do a request that you send a text receipt of closed. close with your students just in case there's an accident that happened sometime I'm straight across from the office we have mrs. Swanson's room her pair this year as Miss Alice and then I'm instead of please and students have a hook and shelf for their backpacks and jackets and they do go out for recess if it's nice and then we will give you some more information about pick-up and drop-off later on that is pretty much where your student will spend their day while they're here I go crazy okay so now we are going to give you some general information about the school on such as the school hours I'm arriving to I'm leaving school will touch briefly on attendance and then some information about our lunch and breakfast programs okay so the building office is open from 8 to 4:30 Monday through as mrs. Swanson mentioned our kindergarten hours are from 8:30 to 3:20 and then just in general contact information which you can provide for you afterwards as well driving to and from school so on nice days which we consider an outdoor day anything above 32 degrees or if there's no rain or snow students will be taken out side around 3:50 and 3:20 and they can be picked up from the blacktop which is where are basketball hoops are if you've been to the school if it is raining snowing or we have implement or whether we will have an inside pick-up day the students will be taken to the main entrance and that is where parents will pick up their child on an inclement weather day AutoTrader we don't have bus transportation so I'll pick up and drop off and should be my parents are coming to and from school and we do have a before and after Care Program I'm called Innovation learning so the before care is offered from 6:30 to 8 a.m. and they will be dropped off at the family center next door and Innovation learning will bring the students over to the school at 8 a.m. after care is offered from 3 or whenever your student gets out of school to 6 p.m. they will be picked up from our cafeteria and I will be taking over to the family center where you can pick them up they do have two different types of care you can either drop in where you just notify them. same day that you only before or after care and can be used as needed or they have anywhere from one to five days a week where you pick your schedule for the year so if you need Aftercare Monday Tuesday and Friday. but your set schedule for the week or is here if we don't have school they do offer other programs so example if we don't have school on a Friday that you can have After Earth Innovation learning care all day or if we get out early at the end of the quarter they will take care of your child from when we get out until 6 p.m. they do have a registration minimum meaning they need so many students signed up in order for those two prices to be held but just a few things on his hand instead of their parents to know if your child arrives after 8:45 they do need to come to the main office instead of their regular door and then if they're asking for any reason if they're sick out of town and have something like family event going on we do ask that you call her office Christian so we can get them excuse for the day and you don't receive the annoying Independence call and then if they're absent from two or more days late you're out of town on vacation and we have a pre-arranged absence form. do ask you to fill out that way we can make sure we get all of their work and their teachers are aware of the extended absence we do have a lunch and breakfast both lunch and breakfast program at Bell Creek so every child after lunch account in their name so you can put money on their account either by sending them with cash or check or you can also use a credit card online at pay school Central on.com where you can see their lunch balance and everything there again we do offer breakfast in the mornings from 7:45 to 8:15 so about a door I showed you in that or you would just drop them off there and they will come in and eat their breakfast and then I ate their able to go to there so next steps if your if you haven't done so already and you're interested in enrolling for next year we do need an enrollment application completed CPAP from some of you and others if you have just let me know that you were intending to send your child to Bow Creek we would still need an enrollment application for you those are available for pickup in her office they are on the enrollment page on our website and there are required documents to complete that process so please make sure you include those after we've received your enrollment application it just a waiting game right now every day is on February 16th so that is the day that we will be contacting you to let you know if your child has been accepted after that and I'm February 16th just enjoy the summer with your child have some fun before school starts in the fall and then we will have registration in July where we will I'm contact you about what those dates and times and here we just have some resources for you I know mrs. Lee are mentioned in the core knowledge and envision answer those are there websites where you can go to for more information on our curriculum I'm keyboarding without tears is the program we use for the keyboarding with mrs. Rowdy and then we have leads to innovation learning if you're interested in learning more about the before and after CARE program as well as I'm Hazel Central to add money to account and In My School menus to see it get an A look into what we offer for school lunch alright so now it's the time where we were going to go through some questions and answers with everyone I see we're about 4 5 minutes into we're at we're doing pretty well on time thank you for those who already submitted questions to the school that was very helpful we were able to look through that and so if you either didn't get a question submitted that the link is still open and even after we go through these questions if you have other questions or if you go away I should have asked that that leak will still be open to you're still welcome to answer questions as long as you give us your email address we'll be happy to respond which is fantastic so please feel free to reach out and ask this question so let me start off mrs. fields for sale can you go ahead and unmute also the first question was for mrs. Fields as our executive director was what are the requirements for kindergarten that she noticed suggestions on areas to work on with your child doing this summer however the only requirement is that your child needs to be 5 years old by October 1st all of the other skills that were mentioned that teachers will work on what channel so they don't need to come with those pills but if they don't have them we have a wonderful skill staff of teachers that will be able to get some of those skills so five years old. What the first alright thank you Miss alright next question is one of the main goals of kindergarten and I thought this would be a great one to kind of I would love to hear from all the teachers mrs. fields did you want to start with this one or going to start with the teachers you may start with the teachers that probably sounds better coming from the teachers let's go ahead and start off with you today I Believe Miss Shelton was first sorry I muted you instead of I'm eating myself I think for kindergarten I think I really like her school talks about how learning comes first and so obviously the end of kindergarten we want them to have the skills that they will need to be successful in first grade but beyond that we really just want to teach them how to do cool and have them start to develop that love for learning that will hopefully follow them throughout the rest of their education careers and I think another reason I love Bell Creek is because we do about the whole child and we put a lot of emphasis on social emotional Guild as well I know for me it's really important to create a classroom environment that's accepting and supportive and loving and that it celebrates all of our differences I like to call my classroom team Shelton and we talked about how all of our unique Styles in the things that we bring make up the team as a whole so I think really creating that type of environment is very important and just to know that they have teachers that will partner with their parents and work with them to best support them however they need that's fantastic thank you Miss Swanson all right I guess a lot of we might have lost my Swanson all right so she'll come back must be a computer go have an internet glitch to you next I agree with Lindsey completely my number one goal is for students to light school all the other stuff that I talked about in the curriculum that is so important but even more important is a love for Learning and everything I do who is intended to get your student ready for first grade so they can be successful or first grade and Beyond and I won't bore you with all the technical stuff I already talked about but all that's all that's part of our goal all that I already talked about it feels a need to add before you move on to the next question no I think they captured at all the main thing is that they have love for Learning and that is her models first comes learning so we just want them to like school and I'm so that they can continue progress and going to the different grades that's the most important goal absolutely all right. Turn it over to actually allow me to introduce someone real quick missed the russky is our fantastic dean of curriculum instruction but she's also CLD are culturally and linguistically diverse a lead as well sweet a question about some students adjust to an all English class when they may not be familiar with that so so glad you're excited and hopeful that your students as answer her said I support English language Learners and with that support we have fantastic curricula available to meet the needs of our students or learning English is extremely natural for students to come in not knowing any English, and that's absolutely okay it's fantastic what an incredible gift for your child to now have enough training to learn a second language so we are very very informed as to how to do that are curricula have fantastic supports embedded within them designed to meet the needs of our second language Learners we also have an intervention called Imagine Learning which is dedicated to our non-english speakers or speakers who are fairly new to English and it covers listening speaking reading and writing in English and within those support our teachers and our piras going to have one-on-one time with those students as well when they see their struggling of in a particular area there are able to go in and work directly with child to help them grow in English and just the fact that we have a teacher and a paraprofessional available in the classroom to support the students is fantastic to have two adults in there to provide the intensives of the students need in addition to that we are the only School in our district who have a  has received the very prestigious elpa Excellence award and the elbe Excellence award was turn to us for our high growth and achievement and in in our English language population so our students certainly are successful as their as they're gaining their knowledge in English and they grow at a a very successful rate so that the Department of Education had recognized the US for then we're the only School in the district has done it so we're very proud of that thank you yes we are thank you miss us aren't we had a couple questions about a classroom size Smithfield one turn it back over to your real quick and I'll talk a little bit about what the general classroom sizes or gold with them thank you as a K-8 school typically aim to have up to 25 students per classroom at each grade level however of this year's a little different in some of her I'm sorry we aim for 20 children in each classroom but this year because of the pandemic situation and so that we can socially distance our students in the classroom we have no more than 25 students in each grade for classrooms all right yes thank you very much right well well since you brought up Miss Fields keep talking about about covid-19 AO3 several questions about mass and in-person learning in and all that so I wanted to say you won't let go. The bottom line is we we don't know exactly what next year is going to look like we we walked into this year not knowing exactly what was going to look like but we are first and foremost community mint for committed to helping them succeed in whatever way we can now with that being said we are subject to Tri County regulations as well as and regulations that 20 the district school district mjx might put in place you may make some some small modification not predict with the district expectations but we are required to follow all Tri-County Health expectation in currently I'll for the 2020 play 21 school year Master acquired we we are and other obvious a lot of other expectations requirements as well so we can't exactly say what next you're going to look like for your kiddos but we can see we are committed first of all to student well-being student health and safety and then we are required to follow Tri-County expectations so I I'm sorry I promise you I'm not trying to dodge the question but we also don't really have a straight answer to that unfortunately we are absolutely committed to providing in person learning we do believe for the majority of students in person learning is best and Yelp play for kindergarten it's a it's a tough year to do it is just lots of lots of things that they need that social interaction for the while we're committed to an in-person learning class rooms we are recognized that learning might also be needed for a certain population so we we we are still evaluating the need for that for next year so once I'm not a promise I'm not trying to dodge the question but we really don't know exactly what next year is going to look unfortunately but as I said one one end with were committed to your students well-being health and safety and education that says we're trying to trying to do our best to manage all those things as well as we can weed I have another question about ensuring twins are in separate class in as a general rule if there are twins we want to keep them we we believe it is best in the best interest of the kiddos to be in separate classrooms if they are concerned actions about that please bring up with with I guess mrs. Fields I'll throw you out there that one of you stops and we'll we'll talk further about that alright Miss Cassandra going to talk about options for lunches what are the dimensions students are welcome to bring their own home lunch there may be modifications to that for example if your student is in a classroom where there's a peanut allergy or a type of nut allergy they may not be able to bring like a peanut butter jelly sandwich or peanuts for snack but other than that they can bring their home lunch or their can also purchase school lunch as a man in earlier we at the district post the monthly menu on her website or on the district website where you can look in kind of pick and choose what days they might want hot lunch this year unfortunately we able to on the district was able to get a grant providing lunch for all of our students and we're not sure if that will be in place for next year but you can if not you can put money on their account where they could purchase school lunch or they can bring my lunch money daily and they have their specific lunch time to eat or you want to talk through Miss Cassandra is keep on going through any specific requirements for paperwork to do before the school year starts in are you kind of mentioned some those things that you just mentioned that again real quick ugarden student at Bell Creek you do need vacation that as I mentioned those can be picked up from our main office or are available as a PDF file on our enrollment page on our website so you can just complete that and send it to us either via my email address or by dropping it off at the school and they do have required documents on there copy of birth certificate of proof of address a copy of the parent or Guardian ID as well as a copy of the immunization record I'm if there's any legal paperwork such as name changes or I'm custody paperwork that would also to be included but that would be the required documentation or paperwork we would need before they can be enrolled at Bell Creek or received at this point was about language is foreign languages I can say so in the past so as in the 2019-2020 school year week we did offer we partner with Rosetta Stone Jackson provide world you called it World languages class and extra addition to all of our students those who it was not required but it was encouraged as a great opportunity for many different reasons we did not continue that partnership however we're not excluding that but there was just many many challenges some stemming from this pandemic and other challenges as well but they were not necessarily ruling that out but we are not planning on at this point in off that offering off foreign languages for the 20 20 20 20 21 22 school year I believe those are all the questions I said at the very beginning if there are other questions feel free to use that Google form where will be checking in periodically or go ahead and email any one of the admin or officials here in this meeting will definitely be happy to do our best to answer your questions write in with that Miss Cassandra did you have anything else that you wanted to mention you think everybody for taking the time to join us and for your interest in bulk I'm at we would love it if we can help your kindergartener with her introduction to school next year at 30th and Bell Creek repeating mr. hers if you have any questions feel free to eat show me my email is right there and other than that and we look hopefully look forward to seeing you in August I will thank you guys very much you can go ahead and log out or miss those you want to say something it's one of the bird I would like to say I hope that you are as a as amazed and asked about our school and our kindergarten program S I am I am so sorry that this is the format that we have to use for this year because I personally would love to meet each and every one of you and your child also so if you have any additional questions I look forward to seeing each and one of you feel free to call if you have some additional questions would be happy to answer them all have a wonderful safe evening and thank you for coming out
