Due:
Draw out the DNA double helix in the molecular format.
Required:
You will have a minimum of three steps. Any layout but an example is Step 1 A - T, Step 2 G - C, Step 3 T - A. Any order or flip is fine. Please label whether your molecule is adenine, thymine, guanine, or cytosine.
You will have the proper sugar and phosphate molecules attached to the outside. Just make it accurate and the count should reflect the 3 Nitrogen inside molecules. Please label the sugar and phosphate molecules.
Make sure it has the proper color coding and labels throughout. You DNA strand will not curve as that would be too difficult to accomplish on paper. If you choose alternative fun colors it must have a KEY.
If you make a complete 3-D model instead, over the weekend, let me know TODAY and you will receive an assignment that reflects more points which can always help your grade. Your 3-D model must be accurate and follow the directions. You can use puff balls, cereal, candy, or any other reasonable item. A 3-D model would be due by Tuesday in class or submitted Monday evening. Turn in here. It will be time stamped late but I will know and fix that by Wednesday evening.
Once you choose a 3-D model, you can not switch back. The illustration assignment is due Tuesday in class or Monday night uploaded..
