First, use the Jamboard link to create a sticky and write something you already know about the Earth's movement. No name, no credit.
Next, watch the short video showing how Earth orbits the sun in our solar system. Think about the amount of sunlight the different hemispheres receive at different points in the revolution around the sun.
Then, use the bottom link to explore an interactive showing Earth's rotation and revolution. You will want to have the Animation box checked to see these. You can speed up the rotations to get a better sense of how we have night and day. You can also change the month to see why and how we have seasons.
Last, go back to the Jamboard and use the right-pointing arrow in the middle at the top to go to the next frame. Create a sticky and write something you learned or found interesting about the Earth's movement from the video and/or interactive. No name, no credit.
