The Importance of CMAS Testing

Colorado's standards-based assessments are designed to measure the Colorado Academic Standards (CAS) in English language arts/literacy (ELA), mathematics, science, and social studies. The purpose is to indicate the degree to which students have mastered the expectations of the CAS.

The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) determines our school rating based upon three pieces of information collected from the CMAS assessments - participation, growth, and achievement. Every student that participates positively impacts our rating as a school.  

Chromebooks and Chargers

Chromebooks will be collected from students prior to testing to ensure all devices are fully charged and ready for CMAS testing.

6th Grade: Students will turn in their Chromebooks to their homeroom teachers on Wednesday, April 8th.

7th and 8th Grade: Students will turn in their Chromebooks to their homeroom teachers on Friday, April 3rd.

CMAS Schedule

Our CMAS testing window will run from April 6th - 24th. Students in grades 3 and 6 will be assessed in English Language Arts and Math. Students in grades 4 and 7 will be assessed in English Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. Students in grades 5 and 8 will be assessed in English Language Arts, Math, and Science.
