We also wanted to take the time to remind parents about the pre-arranged absence policy (section 5.3 in the Parent Student Handbook).
While it is in the best interest of students for these activities to be planned during breaks and outside of school hours, we understand that sometimes families plan vacations, medical procedures, etc. during the school year. To ensure that your student does not fall behind, Belle Creek has an attendance policy regarding these absences: a Pre-Arranged Absence form.
If your child will be out of school for more than 2 days a pre-arranged absence form must be completed. The form is available on our website, in ParentSquare resources, or can be picked up from the office.
Parents should complete the top portion of the form and both parent and student sign. BCCS staff will complete the middle portion. The completed form then needs to be turned into the office at least one week prior to the absence. This ensures enough time for administration approval of the absence and for the teacher(s) to get work together.
