About Ms. Tistinic

Hello!

I am Ms. Tistinic, the Art Teacher at Belle Creek Charter School. This is my fifth year at Belle Creek, and I am excited to begin the 2025–2026 school year sharing my passion for visual arts with our students. My goal as an educator is to create a learning environment where students feel inspired to take creative risks, develop technical skills, and connect art to both personal expression and the world around them.

About My Teaching:
In my classroom, I focus on integrating the Colorado Visual Arts Standards and Core Knowledge curriculum to provide students with a well-rounded art education. Lessons are designed to introduce students to a wide variety of materials and techniques while also building an appreciation for art history, contemporary artists, and cultural traditions. I believe that art is not only a means of self-expression, but also a way to practice problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.

About Me:
I was born and raised in Colorado and have always been drawn to creative pursuits. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, swimming, biking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I am also a practicing artist, and I love exploring new mediums and approaches that I can bring back into the classroom to share with students.

I am dedicated to supporting our students’ growth as artists and learners, and I look forward to an engaging and productive school year. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
