Our Staff Is The Difference

We have amazing staff members that truly care about the work they do, how they come up with new ways to continually inspire the students, and how they are able to push each students’ learning potential. Here’s a few of their stories…

Teacher Of The Year

Mrs. Yurchak is this year’s recipient of the VFW Social Studies Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Yurchak has been with Belle Creek since day one and continually inspires our middle school students with her love of teaching. Congratulations!!!

Jared Polis Award

Mrs. Thyre, one of our awesome Kindergarten teachers, won the 2018 Jared Polis Award. Along with the award, Mrs. T earned grant monies given to her and to the school. The school has purchased additional equipment that is being used by our Kindergarten teachers. Way to Go Mrs. T.

Commitment to Character

Mrs. Stavrevski – Mrs. S. has created a way for students to show who they really are through their demonstration of different characteristic traits. Each month students can be nominated by a staff member for displaying an action that makes them stand out from their peers. These are traits that help to make the students stronger as individuals inside and out of the classroom.

ELPA Award

Belle Creek CS has been named as a 2017-18 recipient of the prestigious ELPA Excellence Award by the Colorado Department of Education. The ELPA (English Language Proficiency Act) Excellence Award is given to schools achieving excellence in the education of English Language Learners by achieving the following criteria in the state of Colorado:

Highest content growth in ELA and Math for English Language Learners
Highest language growth for English Language Learners on the ACCESS language assessment
Highest content achievement for fluent exited (formerly English Language) students
