IXL

Hello Wildcat families,

It was so nice meeting many of you last week at conferences. I just wanted to reiterate the importance of IXL for everyone especially since there were some parents I didn't get a chance to meet with. IXL is a proven program that will help your child get where they need to be in math. The best way I can explain it is that I am their 7th or 8th grade math teacher and IXL can be their tutor for any skills they are behind on in previous grades. Just like when with sports, math requires practice daily to be able to excel at. That is why I am highly recommending 20 minutes/night every night of the week. This way it will become a routine and your child will start to notice improvements in their skills.
Thank you so much!

Sincerely,
Mr. Timperman

HW this week
1 hr of IXL and 1 Savvas.
Please make sure your students are staying on top of their IXL. The purpose of this program is to remediate and make sure students are where they need to be. If your child is struggling in math I recommend 2 hours/week.

October 6-10

Hello Wildcats

Looking forward to another great week! Dash 4 Cash is Wednesday 10/8, make sure to get those pledges and run as fast as you can.
IXL- The minimum expectation is 1hr/week. Many students are not hitting this goal. If you want to get caught up on math and ultimately be ready for high school it is crucial that you spend 1-2 hours/week to refresh your skills.
Savvas- We will be having 2 Savvas assignments this week. Some of this may be done in class during journal checks.

Journal checks- We will have our monthly journal checks on Thursday 10/9 and Friday 10/10. Make sure you're taking excellent notes everyday.

Let's have a great week!

Sincerely,
Mr. Timperman

9/29-10/3 2025

Hello Wildcats
I'm looking forward to another great week here at Belle Creek. This is spirit week so make sure your dressing up in school spirit for each day. Friday is the color challenge day so make sure to wear orange.
IXL- It is required that every student completes a minimum of 1hr/week in IXL. 2 hours would be ideal if you are struggling. Many students didn't complete their IXL last week and this not only effects your grade but more importantly your learning.
We will also have a Savvas assignment this week.
Only 3 more weeks left of the quarter, let's finish off strong!

Sincerely,
Mr. Timperman

9/15-9/19

Hello Wildcats!
Looking forward to another excellent week. We finally are back on a Monday, so let's get ready for a 5 day school week.
IXL- 1 hour minimum/week. If your child is struggling in math I suggest 2-3 hours to get caught up. Times tables and fractions are still a struggle for many students. This skills are crucial for success in Middle School math and need to be mastered.
Savvas- There will be at least 1 savvas assignment due/week.
Going forward all Homework will be due at 8 am on Monday. This way students with very busy weeks can get caught up over the weekend.
Let's have a great week!

9/9/25-9/12/25

Good afternoon Wildcats,

I'm looking forward to another great week here at Belle Creek. We will be introducing IXL into our math curriculum this week. I used IXL for several years back in Indiana and I feel like it is an excellent tool for learning. Going forward the expectation will be to complete a minimum of 45 minutes/week to continue to master our skills. I will be giving more information in class tomorrow. We will also continue journal checks later in the week so make sure to stay focused and continue to take notes.

Sincerely,
Mr. Timperman

Week 4 9/2/25-9/5/25

What an awesome start to the school year. I hope you all had a nice restful Labor Day Weekend! We have next Monday 9/8 off as well for Teacher Professional Development. Lets have a great couple of weeks.

This week we will be starting homework on Savvas through Google Classroom. I am making this first assignment due Monday 9/8 since we have a short week. Remember there are no late assignments accepted this year so please stay on top of things.

Journal Checks- I have begun checking journals. I have seen a lot of amazing notes. Remember to keep things organized and write everything on the board down. Don't forget to include dates so I can continue to see your amazing progress throughout the year.

Let's have a great week!

Sincerely,
Mr. Timperman
