Welcome to Ms. K's Class!

 

I am so very excited to have your child in my class this year.  I can't wait to see your child grow both Independently and academically. 

 

A little info about me:

While this is my third year teaching at Belle Creek, I have been teaching since 2003 (say what!?!).  Yup, I have been teaching for quite a while.  My very first year of teaching was in 2003, back home in Illinois, where I taught 175 students pre-algebra.  Since then, I have taught grades 4th - 6th, but 6th is my favorite! 

I have two sons: my youngest is a junior at Brighton High School, and my oldest just recently graduated from high school in May. They fill my life with love, laughter, and plenty of sarcasm.  

 

A little info about our class:

Your child will be in my classroom for Homeroom, Language Arts, and Math, and will be switching for Science and Social Studies.  This allows us to know all of the 6th-grade students and they can get to know all three teachers. This also better prepares them for the big transition to 7th grade, where they will be switching for all subjects.
