Welcome to Ms. K's Class!

 

I am so very excited to have your child in my class this year.  I can't wait to see your child grow both socially and academically. 

 

A little info about me:

Although this is my first year teaching at Belle Creek, I have actually been teaching since 2003 (say what!?!).  Yup, I have been teaching for quite a while.  My very first year of teaching was in 2003, back home in Illinois, where I taught 175 students pre-algebra.  Since then, I have taught grades 4th - 6th, but 6th is my favorite! 

I have two sons who attend Brighton High School and fill my life with love, laughter, and sarcasm.  

 

A little info about our class:

Your child will be in my classroom for Homeroom, Language Arts, and Math, but will switching for Science and Social Studies.  This allows us to know all of the 6th-grade students and they can get to know all three teachers. This also better prepares them for the big transition to 7th grade, where they will be switching for all subjects.
